The theme of the exhibition is an examination of the psychological theories and their positive, but still complex theories on abstract, minimalistic art - hence the title “REAL POSITIV”. The common denominator is a presentation of the neo-expressionistic language and configuration, showing the artist’s intuitive, effortless technique and artistic expression of “how not to paint”.

Julian Fickler is presenting a “playground” of his sublime, tactile angle of working with colors, light, and symbolic ENIGMAS, enabling the spectator to relate to substance / no substance, illusion, and contemplation. Expressionistic references and the artist’s eclectic aesthetics and symphonies formulate a new narrative, an equilibrium reflecting expressive and meditative koans.
