Galleri Jacob Bjørn presents the solo exhibition ‘Autonomt Nervesystem’ (Autonomic Nervous System) with new works by Danish artist Jan S. Hansen (1980).

The exhibition presents three different series, works on canvas, wooden boards and sewn and quilted panels. At close range there is a richness in material and hand crafted texture, while the overall style of the show is based on fields and planes, geometric patterns and objects. We might sense connections and logic, but a clear definition isn’t found. The human being and our surroundings, our framework and systems are highlighted. As well as being about our correlation to the latent and cryptic, this exhibition points to our cultural inclination and mode of interpretation.
